A basic necessity i am without
I just got back from Charlotte, after an impromptu roadtrip to see the Modern Skirts. I am tired and smell like smoke and wanted to shower now so I don't have to get up tomorrow morning (errr, today) extra early, b/c I have to leave the house by 10 (get up 8:45). It is 4:00 in the morning right now.
Unfortunately, Claire's friend -- he is very nice-- forgot or didn't bother to turn our water back on. Claire said we'd not have hot water. Okay big deal. No, we don't have ANY water. What the hell!!!??? I am quite miffed. Had I known this, I would've gone through the usual preparations learned from years of thunderstorms knocking out power: fill 5 gallon buckets with water so the toilet can be flushed, and have a jug or two of drinking water ready for teeth brushing and sponge bathing. Right? Hahahaha. I wish I would've done that. I am, however, blessed that there is almost a full Brita at my disposal. So I can at least brush my teeth and wash my face. And it's good I did the dishes before I left, too.
Claire's not even home to appreciate this situation. Yes, I am pissed. I can't even take a shower to wake me up before working from 11-5:30. THIS REALLY SUCKS. Boooooooo. So I have to go to work w/ my hair smelling like smoke. And this bothers me.
And the further irony is the ppl I could call and use their shower are not in town! Ward no longer lives in the Jump house, Mary Ann is at home, and Jim is in Atlanta. Suuuuuuccccckkkkks. and I don't have time to drive to North Chuck to use Taylor's shower b/c I have NO idea how rush hour traffic would be. sucksucksucksucksuck. booooooo.
Imma crash now. At least I don't have to get up early to take a shower.... gahhh!
